“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…” Colossians 3:23

A latecomer to golf at the age of 17, I was immediately enamored with this wonderful game. It was not uncommon for me to spend sunrise to sunset at the golf course, first breaking par at the age of 22, and finally turning professional at the age of 28. In my time maturing as both a person and player, I developed a passion not just for playing the game, but being a student of the game: Coaching, swing mechanics, club-fitting, fitness, you name it. If it’s golf-related, I love it.

As a player, I spent time learning from some amazing coaches: Marty Fleckman (PGA Tour Winner) and Billy Ray Brown (PGA Tour Winner). These men were instrumental in my development as both a person and a player; without their guidance, I wouldn’t be the golfer that I am today.

As a coach, I aspire to keep things simple; only adding complexity when it’s needed. Golf instruction has grown tremendously over the last decade, and it’s my responsibility to communicate difficult concepts in a way that each individual can understand. There is no one-size-fits-all golf swing, and I thoroughly enjoy helping players take what they do naturally, and refining it into an efficient, repeatable motion.

Additionally, I am a Titleist Performance Institute Golf Level 3 Certified Instructor, as well as a Scott Cowx Certified Advanced Instructor. My time earning these credentials have been instrumental in my development as a coach; allowing me to better understand not just WHAT someone is doing, but WHY and HOW they are doing it.

On a personal level, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I seek to glorify and honor Him in all that I do, and strive to love others as Jesus does. I am not perfect, but it is my mission to live a life in daily pursuit of Christ and His Kingdom.

Lastly, I am a husband to my lovely wife, Katie, and we have two dogs, Ryder and Luna.
